SAISON IN SUMMER

Saison

A stunning time to visit the region of Hirafu is from the beginning of spring until the end of autumn. The hills, once covered in snow, turn crimson, green and gold and it’s a great time to enjoy the outdoors in warm sunshine. As the chill of night falls, you’ll be looking for a cosy restaurant cafe or bar lounge where you can curl up with a coffee or a glass of wine in front of an open fire.

Saison Club is the prefect summer retreat. Not only do we have a restaurant cafe complete with our own selection of teas and cakes, but we also offer a myriad of indoor and outdoor activities to choose from. All of the snow melts by the end of May and Shiribetsu river comes alive. The village is busy with school children on soccer, baseball and rafting camps.

Activities to indulge yourself in include fishing, mountain biking, horseriding, surfing on the Pacific or Sea of Japan coasts, nature walks, hiking on Mt Youtei and the Niseko ranges, cherry and strawberry picking festivals, BBQ’s and much more. In early August, the famous Kutchan Jazz Festival is an even not to be missed!

Autumn is a spectacular time to view the changing of the leaves; their colours are absolutely amazing from the beginning of October.

It’s important to remember that many of the local businesses are closed in the off season and there is nothing like the choice of restaurants available as during wintertime in the village of Hirafu. However with a car rental, which we are able to arrange, there opens up a lot more dining options in the vicinity of Kutchan, Niseko and Iwanai just short drives away.

If you are keen to visit the resort at this wonderful time of the year, please contact us.
